Skinny People Do Progress Report

Last month I had my annual physical. Although I knew that I had lost some weight since my last visit to Dr. Cruz, I wasn’t sure exactly how much.

To my surprise I had lost 17 lbs. SWEET!  She informed me that I was no longer considered obese and that she was taking obese off of my file!

In my mind I could hear the Wii balance board say “That’s overweight” which is a big step up from the “that’s obese” I was accustomed to hearing.

Hearing "that's overweight" is better than hearing "that's obese"!

I spoke to my doctor about my decision to join Weight Watchers, my weight loss goals, and the ½ Marathon that I was training for.

She replied that I may have a hard time loosing additional pounds because of my body type (what the hell!?). But regardless, I am determined to lose at least another 7% of my body weight (see 7% Challenge post).

A week or so after my physical, I received a call from my doctor’s office with the results of the blood work that was done as part of my physical. I was delighted to hear that my Cholesterol had gone down 25 points! is changing my life for the better. I am making healthier choices for myself and my family and I am beginning to see the difference! Check out my status below.

Physical 2009 Physical 2010

What healthy changes have you made lately? Are you seeing the difference?

If I can call chasing more food trucks a healthy change, then I am making changes! Sadly, the difference is not so great. :/

Seriously, I’m trying to keep to my “soda instead of tea” experiment going. Its OK, I guess. No significant changes yet. Oh Wii Fit says I’m down 3 pounds since my last weigh in! Don’t ask me when that was though.

Sorry, saying you’re going to have a hard time going from overweight to normal weight is lame. Love the blog and your journey! Adding you to my reader!

Congrats on your amazing progress! I know so many people that have done so well on WW. I’ve never done the program, but the recipes and support are so awesome.

I’m trying to fix my snack habit – I snack every night right before bed, and I’m sure it isn’t helping me much. Some habits (ahem.. popcorn) are so hard to kick!
